Congratulations to Jared S (year 8) and Jack F (year 10) who have qualified and been selected to represent Victoria at the 2026 Australian Athletics Junior Championships in Brisbane this April.
Jared will be competing in the U15 3000m and the 2000m steeple chase. Jared is coming off the back of winning a silver medal at the state championships in the steeple chase.
Jack will be competing in the U17 800m event in a hotly contested field. Jack has had a fantastic track season this summer. From the Vermont Secondary College community, we wish both Jared and Jack the best of luck! An incredible opportunity which you have both worked so hard for.

Congratulations to Ryan A of year 11 who has qualified for his first SSV State Championships which will be held at MSAC in April. Special thanks to Ms Unal who does a fantastic job coaching our swimmers on all competition dates. Her knowledge and encouragement does wonders for our students.

SOFTBALL
What an awesome day for our Year 8 girls softball team! We played two games, winning one and losing one, but most importantly, the team showed incredible improvement and had so much fun throughout the day. A huge thank you to Liv, Nat, and Gemma from Year 11 for coaching and supporting the team!
Well done to all the girls for their effort, teamwork, and positive attitude 😊

BASEBALL
The Year 8 boys baseball team had an outstanding day on the field, winning all of their games and successfully progressing through to the next round later this year ⚾🎉. It was a true team effort, with many students going above and beyond—showing determination, teamwork, and great sportsmanship throughout the day. The players supported each other brilliantly and represented the school with pride.
A special thank you also goes to our two Year 9 coaches, whose leadership, encouragement, and commitment played an important role in the team’s success 👏. We look forward to the next stage of the competition!
