Boîte is back!

We are excited to announce that the Boite choir will be returning this year! Students will have the opportunity to take part in the Boite Schools Chorus, learning and performing music from Ghana and performing in a large, multi-school choir in the Melbourne Town Hall.

Rehearsals will begin in Term 2, with students practising weekly at school as they prepare for the big performance. There will also be a combined schools rehearsal, held on a Saturday afternoon on 25 July to help everyone get performance-ready.

The concert will take place on 11 August in the evening at Melbourne Town Hall, where students will join other schools to perform in this exciting mass choir event.

The cost to participate is $65 per student. This fee covers:

• Combined schools rehearsal
• Venue hire
• Concert production and performance costs
• Printed concert program
• Performance T-shirt

The fee is not payable until week 5 of term 2 to enable students to try out choir first!

If your child is interested in joining, they should attend rehearsals every Monday, first recess, in the common area of the 3/4 Learning World next to Lucinda and Diego's classrooms. Our student choir captains will also be visiting each class to share more information and make sure everyone who would like to join has the opportunity.

Please note that the choir is open to students in Grades 1–6 this year. Unfortunately, Prep students cannot participate this time.

Boite is always a memorable musical experience, and we look forward to seeing many students involved in this fantastic event!
