Your P&C - Fostering cooperation and engagement between parents/carers and school.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 2! I hope all families had a restful break and that the children are returning refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning and activities.
As we begin the term, I would like to share that I will be attending the ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Chatswood. This is an important occasion for us to come together as a community to remember and honour those who have served. I warmly invite families to attend if you are able, and to take a moment to reflect with your children on the significance of the day.
Our first P&C monthly meeting for Term 2 will be held on Tuesday, 28 April at 7:30pm via Zoom. We encourage all parents and carers to join us. You can register in advance, or simply access the meeting at the start time via the following link:

Please find the agenda below
Looking ahead, our next P&C event will be the Mother’s Day BBQ Breakfast. More details will be shared closer to the date, and we hope many of you can join us for this special occasion.
Wishing everyone a great start to Term 2.
Warm regards,
Brian Chiu

Cultural Recipe
The recipe submitted by Soundariya, Kanishka from year 1 - Turtle 1's mum. Sharing their family favourite cultural recipe here.
Idly and Dosa
Description: Idly and dosa have earned a special place as the soul of South Indian kitchens. They are not just as food, but as a feeling passed down through generations. Born from the same fermented batter, these two legends prove that simplicity can be pure genius. Made from fermented batter, they quietly do wonders for your gut while you enjoy every bite. And boring? Never. From fluffy mini idlies dunked in sambar to paper-thin crispy dosas stuffed with spiced potato, the varieties are endless and the side dishes even more so. Breakfast, dinner, midnight snack, idly and dosa show up for every occasion without ever overstaying their welcome. Idly and dosa aren't just food, they are comfort + culture + health all in one ♥️.
Recipe:
- Soak 3 cups of idly rice and 1 cup of urad dal (with a pinch of fenugreek seeds) separately for 6 hours.
- Grind them smooth, mix together with salt, and let the batter ferment overnight.
- For idly:
- Pour the batter into greased moulds.
- Steam for 10–12 minutes, until soft and fluffy.
- For dosa:
- Thin the batter slightly with water.
- Pour onto a hot pan and spread into a thin circle.
- Drizzle oil or ghee around the edges.
- Cook until golden and crispy.
- Serve both hot with chutney, podi, and sambar.
