Winter PSSA Galas

Winter PSSA galas will be held in Term 2, Weeks 4 and 5, and Term 3, Weeks 2 and 4, on Fridays. On Gala days, students will compete against other local schools, playing in multiple games throughout the day.

Term 2 

Gala 1 - Week 4, Friday, 15 May 

Gala 2 - Week 5, Friday, 22 May

Back up date - Friday, 29 May

Term 3 

Gala 3 - Week 2, Friday, 31 July 

Gala 4 - Week 4, Friday, 14 August

Back up dates - Friday, 7 August & Friday, 21 August

Congratulations to the successful students who were selected.

Permission notes will be sent via School Bytes next week, and uniform distribution will be organised once permissions have been completed.

Uniform Requirements 

Junior and Senior AFL

• Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform.  
• A mouth guard is mandatory for all players. If your child does not have a mouth guard they cannot participate.   
• Studded shoes are NOT allowed to be worn.    

Junior and Senior Boys and Girls Soccer 

• Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform. 
• Long socks and shin guards are mandatory for all players. If your child does not have long socks and shin guards they cannot participate on the day.
• A mouth guard and studded shoes are optional.

Junior and Senior Netball

• Players must be in their full Chatswood Public School sport uniform. 

Please note that each sport will be played at a different location and require students to have specific equipment, so be sure to refer back to the permission note on School Bytes for detailed sport-specific Gala details.

Please ensure your child arrives at school by 8:30am on Gala Days, as all PSSA participants will have their rolls marked at Chatswood Public School prior to an 8:45am. departure.
