STATE BOWLS

Our lawn bowls team had a fantastic day of competition, finishing as eventual runners-up against some very strong opposition from across the state. Throughout the event, the team showed great teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination in every match. While we missed out on first place, the experience was incredibly valuable, with everyone learning new skills and strategies along the way. Most importantly, the team had so much fun, supported each other brilliantly, and represented the school with pride. Well done to everyone involved on an excellent effort! Sunbury here we come in 2027!

SENIOR ROUND ROBIN

Badminton

On Senior Boys and Girls Badminton Teams ventured to Kilsyth for the annual interschool competition. Our A & B teams fought well displaying skill, agility and teamwork, however, were unable to secure the tournament win. During the week Josh Chia coached the players and told them to display the Vermont Values.  Thanks go to Mr. Duiveman and Ms. Petrie for assisting the players throughout the day.

The day began with a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Highvale SC, as the team worked to find their rhythm. In the second match, the boys settled into their play and delivered a strong performance, securing a 2–0 victory over Mount Waverley SC.

Heading into the final game, a win was essential to advance to the next round. After a challenging first half, the team rose to the occasion, scoring four goals to defeat a strong Glen Waverley side.

Finishing the day with one draw and two wins, the boys now look ahead to progressing to the next stage.
