Film Club 

At last week’s Film Club meeting, we welcomed guest speaker and School Captain Juliet O, who pitched an exciting new project supporting Dolly’s Dream. The documentary style video is about raising awareness of bullying issues. With a fast-approaching deadline, the crew is already hard at work planning ideas and production.

We screened the final entry for the Movie Challenge, featuring creative flashbacks and truly terrific transitions that impressed the audience. The crew worked together to learn how to operate the lapel microphones, completing successful trial recordings using both microphones simultaneously. 

The Canon Powershot vlogging camera recorded it’s first mock interview. Students also designed a poster for the upcoming Film Screening, which will be open to the whole school community. We also said goodbye and thank you to Mr Kemp for his support and contributions to the club.

Next week, students will move into the script development phase of Dolly’s Dream and continue pre-production planning for the upcoming podcast. The printing of the banner is underway.
