Colour Fun Run!

Get ready for a day of colour, laughter, obstacles, and FUN – Fairfield Primary School’s very first Colour Fun Run is coming! So, mark your diary for Thursday 25th June.

This exciting new event was instigated by our School Sports Captain, Siena Lang, who wanted to create an event that would bring even more sporting spirit, energy, and school pride to Fairfield Primary School. It promises to be one of the most memorable and vibrant events of the school year.

On Colour Fun Run Day, students will take part in a non-competitive run and walk course around the school grounds, complete with colourful powder stations, obstacles, challenges, and plenty of surprises along the way. No timers, no pressure – just lots of school spirit and fun.

Our teachers will also have the opportunity to take on the course in a special teacher run… with a fun role reversal where the School Captains will be in charge of throwing the colour powder at the teachers!

To top it all off, selected students from each year level will take part in the ultimate grand finale – sliming the principal in front of the whole school.

Why the fundraiser?

Funds raised will help transform the yard space between the netball court and the Fairfield Road building. Planned improvements include asphalt replacement, new garden beds, decking, bench seating and permeable paving to create a safer, greener, and more welcoming outdoor space for students to enjoy all year round.

What do I need to do?

1. Sign Up To Fundraise

  • Please sign your child up online so they can collect sponsorship donations and be eligible for all fundraising prizes.
  • Full fundraising details and prizes can be found on the Colour Fun Run flyer (coming home with your child) and via our fundraising website: https://fairfieldcolourfunrun.goraiseit.com.au/

2. Register On Compass

  • All students attending are asked to register for the event via Compass where families are also invited to pay the suggested event entry fee of $10 (to cover event costs).

What Should Students Wear on the Day?

  • A white or light-coloured T-shirt works best for the colour powder effect.
  • Old clothes and runners that can get messy.
  • Sunglasses or goggles are recommended for eye protection.

What If My Child Doesn’t Want Colour Powder?

  • No problem at all. Students who would prefer not to have colour powder thrown on them can wear a coloured bib provided by the school to indicate they are “no powder”.

Thank you for supporting this exciting new Fairfield Primary School event. We can’t wait to see the school covered in colour!
