Boarding Bulletin

This week, a small number of boarders have presented with cold and flu symptoms. Our Health Centre staff continue to assess students each morning and will keep families informed. Boarders who are unwell will remain in-house with regular monitoring.

A Place of Belonging

Our Boarder Orientation Weekend began on Friday evening with a presentation from Dr Michael Carr‑Gregg OA on Friendships in 2026 – Beyond the Social Media Ban. He provided valuable insights into recent legislative changes for under‑16s, online safety, and ways young people can meaningfully connect with others. He also highlighted the importance of Christian faith.

The remainder of the weekend focused on connection, confidence and familiarisation with Boarding House routines and Brisbane’s public transport system. Students participated in Kahoot and war‑cry competitions, the Amazing Race challenge, a campfire with s’mores and various team‑building activities. Gibson House were victors at the end of the weekend. The weekend concluded with a full day at Wet n Wild on Sunday.

Celebrating our Year 12 Leaders

Last week we celebrated our Year 12 boarders’ last first day and on Wednesday, we acknowledged their leadership at the Senior Investiture Assembly. We wish this amazing group of go-getters every success for the year ahead.

Boarding Staff

This year, we have welcomed four new Residential Boarding Staff to our boarding team.

A huge welcome to Sophie Giesemann and Sydney Martin who have joined the morning staff, and Sian Hernit and Saxon McGregor, the weekday evening shift.
