Captains' Corner

On Friday 30 January, the Year 12 cohort attended our Leadership Retreat, hosted right here at the College. The day was filled with activities designed to help us discover and practice our individual leadership styles while working together as a cohort to develop ideas on how we can best lead the College in 2026.

The morning session provided us and our Chapel Captains, Tiffany and Hadassah, with the opportunity to share some of the engaging activities we experienced at the Australian School Leadership Conference over the holidays. In the afternoon, we were joined by guest speaker Ben Russell from Empower Ed, who led us through a series of thought-provoking activities. These included exploring the difference between talents and values, defining what leadership means to us, understanding the concept of being a 'torchbearer,' and embracing the challenges that come with leadership.

The day concluded with the Year 12 Information Evening, our Senior Jersey Presentation, and a movie night in the Upper LRC, before we settled in for a sleepover in the girls' locker rooms, a memorable end to a fantastic day.
