Education in Faith

Loving God,
Today we begin the season of Lent.
As we receive ashes on our foreheads, help us to remember that we belong to You.
Teach us to turn our hearts back to You.
Help us to be sorry for the times we have made wrong choices.
Give us the courage to grow, to forgive, and to begin again.
May this Lenten journey lead us closer to You through prayer, kindness, and generosity.
Help us to follow Jesus with humble and loving hearts.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Project Compassion 2026
Project Compassion is the Caritas Australia annual Lenten fund raising and awareness raising appeal. With Project Compassion, millions of Australians come together in support of the world's poor to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. Project Compassion brings thousands of supporters together to raise funds for people living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the world. The Project Compassion theme reminds us that the good we do today extends to impact the lives of generations to come. Support for Project Compassion is helping empower our world’s most vulnerable communities to grow stronger and share their strength with their communities to lift themselves out of poverty.Together, we can all help to break the cycle of poverty and injustice. This week your child will take home a Project Compassion box to support Caritas Australia. Every little bit makes a difference to people in our world.
