Swimming 

Trials Friday 13th February 

Swimming trials for the school swim team are taking place on Friday 13th February at Ivanhoe Grammar School. Students from grades 3-6 can trial, but they must be 9 years or older on the 31st December 2026. This is for competent swimmers that can swim 50 meters in around a minute.

Interschool Sport

Year 6 interschool sport 

In term 1 we have year 6 girls AFL day. This is a fun day playing AFL 9’s against other schools in the Ivanhoe District in a round robin tournament. It is for all abilities and is a great introduction to playing AFL. The tournament will be held at Chelsworth Park on Friday 6th March 9am - 1pm. a sign up sheet will be up on the gym notice board outside the gym office.

Weekly fixtures will commence on Friday 13th March and be every Friday until the finals on Friday 12th June. Term 1 and 2 are winter sports and students will have the choice of Netball, AFL, and T-ball. Choices will be made in class via Teams.

Hockey Coaching in PE

IPS has been extremely lucky to be have the services of State Hockey players from the Yarra Valley Hockey Club came to coach our students and share their expertise.
