Junior School Council

The IPS Junior School Council plays an important role at our school. Through the JSC, students are actively encouraged in decision-making, empowered to make change and provided with opportunities to demonstrate good leadership and citizenship skills.

In addition to organising events, the JSC provides a forum for students to raise matters of interest or concern and to suggest ways to further improve our school. Representatives seek feedback from their classmates, bring forward ideas for discussion, and report back to ensure student voice is heard and valued.

Each Year 1 to Year 6 class elects two Junior School Council representatives. As IPS Junior School Councillors, students are encouraged to:

  • Demonstrate responsibility as positive role models within the school
  • Act responsibly as members of the broader community
  • Raise and discuss issues that are important to students
  • Communicate information and updates clearly to their class
  • Take pride in their leadership role

We are pleased to introduce our Semester One Junior School Councillors and congratulate them on their appointment.
