Principal's Report

Dear Families,

WELCOME BBQ

Our Welcome BBQ will be held this evening, commencing at 5:30pm. The classrooms will be open prior to this at 5:00pm. It is a great opportunity to have a look at your child's classroom and meet their teacher. Please BYO chair and drinks and a salad or sweet to share (No Nuts Please).Meat will be provided. The weather is being much kinder to us today albeit a bit windy. Looking forward to seeing you there!

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Our first meeting for the year will be on Monday 23rd February commencing at 6.30pm. 

School Council elections are upon us again. This year we have six parents, Renee Ewart, Morgan Lang, Lauren Hicks, Justin Young, Karli Burney and Charlotte Livesay, who have completed their term of office and are up for re-election. We do encourage other members of our parent community to join our school council, we are always looking for new members as families leave our school. 

Please refer to the School Council section of the newsletter for details about School Council Elections. Parents are strongly encouraged to nominate for School Council.

UNIFORMS AND MOBILE PHONES

Included in this newsletter are the Uniform Guidelines and Mobile Phone policy, as we have had some enquiries about them.

NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

During the holidays, we had some new playground equipment installed, with a $5,000 contribution to the cost by Parents and Friends. We have a swing and new medium sized monkey bars. The swing especially, has been very popular and we are trialling different ways for the students to enjoy it safely and fairly. It has been an exciting addition to our play area.

FOUNDATION

The Foundation students are loving their time at school! Here are some of them on their first day.

PARENT TEACHER STUDENT INTERVIEWS

Interviews have been set for Week 5 commencing 23rd February. Bookings will go live next Thursday and can be booked on Xuno. Interviews are for 15 minutes, either before or after school. Phone interviews are possible and can be selected when making your booking. A message will be sent on Xuno when bookings are open.

CURRICULUM DAY REMINDER

Staff are participating in Professional Learning with Danny Hyndman next Monday 16th February. There is no school for students on this day.
