Beginning of Year School Mass

On Thursday, February 5th, our school and parish community gathered together to celebrate our Beginning of Year Mass. The celebration, led by Father Andrew and his superior from Rome, Father Evandro, was a beautiful way to begin the 2026 school year in faith and unity.
During the Mass, our school theme for 2026, Belonging, was introduced. This theme reminds us that we are all valued members of our school and parish family, called to include, welcome, and care for one another.
Our Year 6 students were commissioned as the leaders of our school, taking on their important roles with pride and commitment. The Year 6 student leaders also had their badges blessed and presented to them, marking the beginning of an exciting year of leadership, service, and growth. We look forward to seeing them lead with kindness and example throughout the year.
Father Andrew also blessed the school prayer cloths, which were distributed to each class after Mass. These cloths will be used during Christian Meditation and will be decorated by students to reflect this year’s theme of Belonging, serving as a meaningful reminder of our shared faith and connection.
It was wonderful to see so many family members join us for this special celebration, highlighting the strong sense of community that continues to make our school such a welcoming place.
