School Values, Rules and House Points

School Values and Rules
We have all been very excited to welcome students to the 2026 school year!
To set the tone for a positive, productive year ahead, classrooms focused on building strong relationships and reviewing our important school rules.
Students have also been introduced to our new school values: Respect Self, Respect Others and Respect Property.
Classes have spent some time co-creating shared expectations to clearly outline what is required for learning and behaviour. This foundation helps students feel safe, supported, and ready to do their best.
We look forward to a year of growth, curiosity, and success together.

House Points
At our school, we have a house points system that helps make school more exciting and encourages students to always do their best. There are four different houses, and each one has its own special colour: Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. These colours represent the house teams, and they are also the colours of the house points. Every student belongs to a house, and together we all work as a team to earn as many points as possible.
Students can earn house points by showing good behaviour throughout the school day. This includes being kind to others, following school rules, helping classmates, listening to teachers, and trying hard in lessons. Even small actions can earn house points, and every single point matters. When students earn points, they are not just helping themselves, but also helping their entire house.
Every Friday, one student from each class is chosen to collect the house points and take them to the house leaders. This is an important job because it helps make sure all the points are counted fairly. The leaders carefully keep track of the points each house earns every week. At the end of week five, the house captain leaders count all the house points together to see which house has earned the most points overall.
The house with the highest number of points wins a special reward. These prizes can be very exciting and may include extra playtime, special activities, or even a ZOOPER DOOPER. Sometimes there are even more surprises, which makes everyone feel proud and happy to be part of their house. The number of points each house has can be seen at the front of the hub, so students can always check how their house is doing and feel excited to earn more points.
Even if your house does not win, it is important to remember that every student still played a part by earning points and supporting their team. The house points system teaches students about teamwork, responsibility, and good behaviour. Most importantly, it reminds us that trying our best and helping others is what really matters.
