Year 7 Welcome Family Meal!

On Monday evening, our Year 7 students and their families came together to share a meal and celebrate their new beginnings at St Brigid's College. Joined by our Teacher Advisors, teaching and support staff, and Year 12 student leaders, students and families were able to chat in a relaxed environment and get to know one another. It was a lovely way to kick start a life long connection with St Brigid's!

Welcome to our new Staff!

We are pleased to introduce Olivia Spadea who has recently joined the St Brigid's College team!

"My name is Olivia Spadea and I am very excited to be joining the St Brigid’s community in 2026! I completed my Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education in 2025 at Deakin University, undertaking my final placement at St Brigid’s.

This year I will be teaching Year 9 Health/PE and Humanities, Year 10 Food Tech and Health, and Year 12 Health and Human Development. I have a strong passion for teaching health literacy and skills that are transferable cross-curricular and in real-life context.

In my spare time I love to cook, read, go for walks and travel. The welcoming community at St Brigid’s makes me excited to step into this industry and I look forward to building strong connections, and encouraging students to develop curiosity, becoming lifelong learners."

Staff Professional Development

Recently, our staff participated in the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited Network Collaboration Day with leading international educator, Professor Pasi Sahlberg. The day focused on exploring the DOBCEL 2035 Strategy, which aims to introduce innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and embrace a new way of thinking about education and student engagement.

We’re excited to continue this journey as we strengthen contemporary learning across our school community and wider Catholic education network.
