Wellbeing- onPsych at St Joseph's

Dear Parents and Carers,
This year, we will continue to engage with the onPsych psychologist service to support the community here at St Joseph's. OnPsych offers services to students, their families and the school community It is a bulk billing service that encurs no out of pocket expenses. This is done under a range of programs, including the GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
OnPsych psychologists provide counselling services for children, adolescents and families with psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, ASD, Adjustment Disorder, and learning and behavioural difficulties.
All psychologists working with OnPsych are fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and also satisfy the requirements of Medicare to become a provider under the Better Access and Pervasive Developmental Disorder Program. The onPsych process is simple:
- Parents complete the onPsych referral form
- They book an appointment with their GP to discuss any concerns regarding their child's condition
- The GP forwards the mental health plan via fax (1300 651 580) or email contact@onpsych.com.au
- Obtain a referral to onPsych under the Better Access Initiative (2715/2700)
Please note that a mental health treatment plan allows you to claim up to 10 free sessions with an eligible mental health professional. For more information about onPsych, please refer to their website or the attached FAQ document below.
