YEAR 11
Leading The Way

Head of Year 11
Welcome to Year 11, 2026
My name is Christina Borzi, and I am excited to step into the role of Head of Year 11 in 2026. I look forward to working alongside our students and families as we begin this important phase of senior schooling.
In addition to this role, I teach Food Technology, Health and Physical Education, and Certificate II in Health. These subject areas focus on building responsibility, well-being, and practical skills. I am especially proud to support students undertaking Vocational Education & Training (VET) and Certificate pathways, as they develop industry skills while preparing for future study, training, or employment.
As a mum of three young people aged 20, 18, and 16, I understand the significant transitions students experience during the senior years of schooling. Year 11 is a pivotal stage that brings increased independence, higher expectations, and important decisions about future pathways. My focus is to support students as they build confidence, resilience, and strong self‑management skills.
Our Year 11 theme for 2026 is 'Leading the Way'. This reflects the responsibility Year 11 students hold as senior members of the College community. Throughout the year, students will be encouraged to lead by example through their behaviour, engagement, and commitment to learning, while developing the skills needed for success in Year 12 and beyond.
I look forward to working in partnership with students, staff, and families to ensure Year 11 is a positive, purposeful, and successful year for all.
On Monday, February 2, Week 2, Year 11 students will participate in a study skills workshop presented by Elevate Education, Australia’s leading study skills provider. This program is designed to support students with effective study habits and learning strategies as they enter the senior years of schooling.
Further information will be provided in a broadcast message to parents and students next week.
Students will be able to access their electronic timetable on Wednesday morning to help them find their Pastoral Group rooms. They will also receive a printed copy of their timetable during their pastoral group session.
Subject changes can be made up until the end of Week 2. Students wishing to change a subject must ensure they have spoken with their parent carer, then make a time to meet with Mr John Cahill (jcahill@cns.catholic.edu.au), our Curriculum Logistics Leader, to discuss the change.
Are you a motivated and reliable student looking to kickstart your career in the Pharmacy Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for a school-based Traineeship.
