Harmony Day

Monday 18 March was the start of Harmony Week.

Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. At JPPS we held our Harmony Day celebration on Monday, with many students and staff wearing the official Harmony Day colour of orange and some students wearing clothes including traditional dress, that reflects their culture.

The students participated in a Harmony Day activity with a buddy class, creating a sense of togetherness and for some a chance to make a new friend.

2D presented a great assembly that showed the diversity just within one class through their multicultural quilt.

We are verylucky to have so many different cultures represented in our school community and we are proud to promote the values of Harmony Week every week at JPPS!
