Round 3 Sports Report - 8 March  

This week, Lalor East Primary School showcased their athletic prowess across multiple sports, facing off against St Johns with remarkable outcomes. Our students displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, resulting in a series of victories and a tight contest in cricket.

 

Rounders

- Girls Team: Dominated the field with a convincing 20-9 victory. Their strategic plays and solid defense were key to their success.

- Boys Team: Followed suit with an impressive 9-2 win. Their determination and excellent batting ensured a comfortable lead throughout the game.

 

Bat Tennis

- Girls Team: Excelled with a strong 28-17 win, demonstrating great agility and coordination.

- Boys Team: Secured a nail-biting 25-23 victory. The match was a thrilling display of resilience and competitive spirit.

 

Cricket (Mixed)

Despite a valiant effort and some unforgettable plays, our mixed cricket team narrowly missed victory, with a close score of 58-62. The match was a testament to the team's fighting spirit and sportsmanship.

 

Looking Ahead

Our athletes are already preparing for the next challenge, as we aim to build on our successes and learn from every match. The opponent for our next round is Thomastown Meadows and we anticipate another exciting set of games.


Round 4 Sports Report - March 15th

This week, our Lalor East PS athletes showed remarkable spirit and skill in a series of matches against Thomastown West. Across bat tennis, rounders, and cricket, our students demonstrated teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

 

Rounders

- The girls' team played an exciting match that ended in an 11-11 draw. Both teams showed great determination and skill, making it a game to remember.

- Our boys' team secured a 6-4 victory in a closely contested match, showcasing their strategic play and teamwork.

 

Bat Tennis

- The girls' team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 36-8. Their agility and precision were key to their success. 

- The boys' team also triumphed with a 29-16 win, displaying excellent technique and teamwork throughout the match.

 

Cricket

- In a challenging mixed cricket match, our team faced tough competition from Thomastown West, resulting in a 42-76 loss. Despite the outcome, our players demonstrated great resilience and sportsmanship.

 

 

 

Looking Ahead

Next round, our teams will face Lalor North in our final game for term 1. We are excited to see our athletes continue to grow in the upcoming winter season and continue to display the incredible talent and spirit that makes Lalor East PS proud.
