Muisc Fundraising, Year 12 

Over the last few months the college Vocal Ensemble and Stage Band have been preparing for a trip to the Generations in Jazz festival in Mt Gambier, South Australia. This is a huge undertaking for the school.

It will take place from Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th of May and will allow our students to compete in the National Stage Band Championships and the National Jazz Vocal Championships. Students will hear the best student ensembles in the country as well as attend three concerts with national and international jazz artists as well as workshops from those artists. Approximately 5000 students attend the event, and for many of them it is a transformative experience.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Justin Hird and the leadership for their support in getting this off the ground and to the Music Support Group for their fundraising efforts over the last few months. MSG have worked tirelessly in the background securing sponsorship and running fundraisers and we wouldn't be going without them.
