Principal's Message

Good afternoon Parents/Carers,

The final week of Term 1 is upon us.  We have a busy week ahead to finish the term.

Colour Run

The Colour Run is happening tomorrow.  I would like to thank you for your understanding in the change of date due to the rain and we look forward to holding tomorrow's event.  We recommend your child wear a white shirt and old shorts/closed in shoes as they will get wet and the colour used may be hard to remove from clothing.   Closed in shoes must be worn to participate in this event.  A change of clothing is also recommended to ensure they are dry and warm after the run.  The P&C will be holding a BBQ with Sausage sandwiches for $2.00 and lolly bags for $1.00.  They will also be selling drinks ranging from $1.00 to $2.00.  Everyone is welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing our Parents/Carers for a fantastic day of fun.

School Assembly

We will be holding our final school assembly for Term 1 this Friday, 12th April at 2:15pm.  Our K/1/2B class will be performing an item for your enjoyment.  All welcome to attend.

Sentral for Parents

We have noted that some parents are using the Sentral Portal to send messages direct to our Classroom Teachers.  Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity at this time to facilitate this function and request that all written enquiries be directed via our school e-mail address: werriscrk-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au or by contacting the school office between 8:30am and 3:30pm Monday to Friday during the school term on 6768 7065 to make an appointment with your child's teacher.

Anzac March

We will be participating in the ANZAC march on ANZAC day, Thursday, 25th April.  We invite all of our students to participate in the march.  All students who wish to participate must be dressed in school uniform.  We will assemble at the corner of Single Street and Coronation Avenue at 10:15am.  We understand that this year's ANZAC Day falls in the school holidays however we would like to see many of our students attend to honour those who serve our country in the armed forces.

School Holidays and Term 2 Dates

School Holidays will commence this Friday, 12th April.  The staff will return on Monday 29th April with a Staff Development Day and the Students return on Tuesday, 30th April.  I would like to wish all of our students a safe and relaxing term break and look forward to a productive Term 2.
