  Easter Season

Welcome back, I hope you all enjoyed the Easter celebrations and break from the school routine.

The Catholic Church celebrates the Easter season from Easter Sunday until  Pentecost Sunday on 19 May. The students will be learning about the events of the Easter season during their Religion sessions, please ask them to share their learning.

The Year 5/6 students composed poems to reflect their understanding of Easter Sunday. They drafted, edited and published acrostic, haiku and cinquain poems.

Here are some examples to share...

Easter can represent new life

Alleluia!

Saviour

Tomb

Resurrection

(Laila, acrostic poem)

Easter with family

And friends

Saving memories

Together while

Eating goodies with

Respect to all you love

(Will, acrostic poem)

thank you, praise

Easter is so fun!

(Diaz, cinquain poem)

Jesus has risen

rejoice for the Lord's new life

the Lord's Son reborn

(Billy, haiku poem)

The Sacrament of Eucharist

On the weekend of 1 and 2 of June, many of our Year Four students will participate in the Sacrament of Eucharist and receive their First Holy Communion.

All classes will focus on the Eucharist as part of their Religion learning for Term Two.

Please keep the students preparing for their First Holy Communion in your prayers.
