Our Faith - Religious Education

Pray with HOPE is the 2024 theme for Catholic Schools.

He is Risen! Alleluia! Jesus has risen!

Easter is a special time of year that holds deep significance for people all around the world, especially for those of the Christian faith. But what exactly does Easter mean, and why do we celebrate it?

At its heart, Easter is a celebration of hope, renewal, and new beginnings. It commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died on Good Friday, only to rise from the dead on the third day, which we now celebrate as Easter Sunday.

The story of Easter is a powerful reminder of the triumph of life over death, of light overcoming darkness. It symbolises the victory of good over evil and the promise of eternal life. Easter is a time to reflect on the love and sacrifice of Jesus, who gave his life so that others may live.

Sacrament of Confirmation 2024

Our Confirmation candidates will complete Lesson 4 this Sunday. If your child has missed a lesson, please ensure that they have completed their workbook for Session 1, Session 2 and Session 3.

A reminder that lessons are in the DLS Chapel on Sunday at 8:00am-9:30am. The first hour of the lesson will consist of participation in Mass followed by a Formation lesson.
