Fun with Colour

What a wonderful few weeks of learning our colours we have had in the 3-year-old Kinder groups. We had dedicated weeks learning about the colours, red, yellow and blue and to finish it off, our very exciting rainbow week including a rainbow celebration day complete with making fairy bread!

The children have gone exploring through their outdoor playspace, matching colours with cards during this engaging way of learning colours. They have also made and then mixed playdough and watched the colours change, as well as listening to stories about how the primary colours change when mixed together. The playdough mixing has been a highlight of our learning.

Another fun way the children immersed themselves in the beauty of colour was through the Bible story of creation. They were engaged and pointing out all the different colours in the Garden of Eden including the diversity of colours for the animals. We praise God for giving us such a colourful and beautiful world to live in.
