News from the Board

The year has started well for the Board and we are working well with and enjoying getting to know our new principal, Michelle Dempsey. The Commissioning service in February was a highlight, thank you to all those who came along for that wonderful celebration!

The Board would also like to encourage Christian parents in our community to consider joining our Association. In many ways, the Association is the heart of MECS and the rightful owner of the school. It elects the Board from amongst its members as its authorised governing body that reflects the school’s history and culture.

As a Board, we want to promote the importance of our parents joining our Association. As parents we should strive to be active partners in the education of our children. Joining the school’s Association poses both an opportunity and a responsibility.

It is an opportunity to vote and contribute to important decisions regarding the school, and a responsibility to pray for all the stakeholders, with a willingness to learn more about the importance of Christian Education.

The Association meets twice a year and we want to encourage you as a Christian parent to attend and learn more about how to become a member. We want to invite you to partner with our school in this unique way and join us for our first Association meeting of the year on 29 May.

If you would like to find out more about Association Membership please contact Jenny Taylor via the office or speak with one of our board members.
