Year 1/2 Excursion – Healesville Sanctuary
On Tuesday the 24th of June, our Year 1/2 classes went on an excursion to Healesville Sanctuary to support our inquiry learning into connections to Place and Country. Aboriginal cultures teach us that everything is connected. We learned about our environment by playing, exploring and observing the Australian bush. We particularly enjoyed using the maps to get around. The bird show was also a highlight.

Book Bonanza
On Wednesday 2nd July 1/2A celebrated their term of narrative writing with a ‘Book Bonanza’ (named by Leo Clayton!). Students took pride in sharing their narratives that they had been working on in Term 2. While their finished products were amazing, their hard work and determination on the process is to be congratulated. We had stories about a range of student interest, such as Egypt, Creepers, ladybugs and magic, ensuring student voice and choice throughout their learning. Student created some wonderful front covers on Canva, which was a highlight for many students. Thank you to all the parents that made it at such short notice to share in their stories.
