Principal's Report

As we settle into Term 3, it’s been a busy and energising start to the second half of the year at St Joseph’s College. From subject selection interviews and parent information nights to sporting competitions, assemblies, and academic celebrations - there’s been no shortage of activity across our two campuses!
Last week, we proudly hosted our VTAC Information Evening, which provided a valuable opportunity for senior students and their families to better understand the university application process, including SEAS and scholarship options. These moments of connection and learning are essential as our senior students prepare for life beyond school.
On Tuesday, we gathered as a whole school to celebrate the academic achievements of students across all year levels. It was inspiring to acknowledge the effort, dedication and resilience these students demonstrate - not only in their studies, but also in the way they contribute positively to the life of the College. A sincere thank you to the families who joined us to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile, subject selection for 2026 is in full swing. Our Year 9 and 10 students are currently engaging in interviews and conversations to help them make informed decisions about their senior pathways. We understand this can be an overwhelming process for some, but with the right support, guidance and open dialogue, we aim to empower each student to choose a direction that suits their strengths, interests and goals.
We’ve also enjoyed a number of sporting competitions already this term, showcasing the talent, teamwork and school spirit of our students at various regional levels. Thank you to all staff, coaches and supporters who make these opportunities possible.
Our Year 9 students are currently having a great time on camp. This year they have been provided with four unique opportunities for growth and learning outside the classroom and we can't wait to hear all about their adventures when they return.
Finally, there is a growing sense of excitement as we edge closer to our much-anticipated school production of Aladdin. Staff and students have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes - rehearsing lines, perfecting choreography and bringing the magic of the story to life. We can’t wait to share this vibrant performance with our community very soon! Get your tickets here.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to foster a learning environment that is engaging, inclusive and future-focused.
God Bless.
