Piano Students Shine in Prestigious Competitions

We are proud to congratulate Dougie Pengilley and Tayla Jamieson for their recent participation in two notable music competitions. On Sunday, June 15th, both students showcased their talent at the Joan Carpenter Scholarship, where Dougie placed 3rd in the Instrumental category (ages 8–11) with a charming performance of Waltzing Matilda.

Their success continued at the Tamworth Eisteddfod on Tuesday, June 17th. Tayla placed 3rd in the Restricted Piano (9 years & under) section, performing Morning by Grieg, while Dougie also placed 3rd in the Restricted Piano (12 years & under) solo with his expressive rendition of Whirling Leaves.

Their dedication and musical growth are a credit to themselves and our school community—well done, Dougie and Tayla!
