SWPBS Term 2 Update: Whole School Reward System

As we head into the final weeks of Term 2, we’re thrilled to see the enthusiasm and effort students have shown in working towards our SWPBS expectations. Throughout the term, students have been earning tokens for their houses by demonstrating positive behaviour across all areas of the school. On Friday, our Wellbeing Captains will announce the winning house for Term 2. Students in that house will vote on Monday to decide the whole-school reward for the final week of term. The prize options are:

• A sports afternoon
• An extra outdoor play session
• A dress-up day
• A classroom board game hour
• A disco party

In the final weeks of term, our SWPBS focus will shift to Digital Responsibility. Students will explore the following expectations:

• I safely store and carry devices, ensuring they are charged and ready for use
• I stay focused on tasks when using devices and follow the Digital Technologies Agreement
• I log any inappropriate use of Digital Technologies

You might like to talk to your child at home about what these expectations look like in practice. Here are some great conversation starters:

• “What do you think it means to use technology responsibly?”
• “What would you do if someone around you wasn’t using a device appropriately?”
• “How do you stay focused when you’re working on a computer or iPad?”
• “Can you show me how you carry your device safely at school?”
