Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s
Term 2 Week 10 2025 - Friday 27th July
What have we been up to?
Over the past two weeks, our writing students have been busy crafting imaginative narratives. They first wrote a creative story about a magic carpet, letting their ideas soar high! Next, they began their final narrative project where they can write about any topic they love. These stories will be published next week and proudly placed in their Leader in Me folders for everyone to enjoy.
In Maths, we continued exploring Mass and Length. Students had a hands-on experience using balancing scales to measure the mass of various classroom objects. They also took their learning outdoors, measuring the length of different items using their feet and hands as informal measuring tools. It was wonderful to see them applying math concepts in real-world contexts!
During Inquiry time, students worked in pairs to research a continent. They created informative posters featuring key facts, native animals, and typical foods found there. Currently, they are diving into an individual project, researching a country of their choice. These posters will be completed by the end of the term and sent home to share with you.
We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and gets some rest! We can’t wait to see everyone back for Term 3.
Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was.
