Executive Principal

As we close Term 2, I want to begin by expressing my heartfelt thanks to our staff and students. Your unwavering commitment, creativity and care have made this term a truly memorable one. I am deeply grateful for the way you have supported one another and contributed to our vibrant school community.
I want to begin by sharing what a blessing it has been to take time away on study leave. This period allowed me to rest, reflect, and most importantly, spend time with God, listening to His voice and seeking His guidance for the journey ahead. In the quiet, I found renewal and clarity, and I return with fresh energy and vision for the remainder of 2025. As Psalm 46:10 reminds us, “Be still, and know that I am God.” I am deeply grateful for this time of stillness and restoration.
This term has been filled with joyful celebration and outstanding student achievement. Our MADE Night was a true highlight, showcasing the incredible talents of our students across Music, Art, Drama, English, Humanities and Technology. Thank you to every student who performed, displayed, presented or contributed; your creativity and courage were inspiring. Our choirs have brought beauty and harmony to our community. The Festival of Voices is fast approaching, and our choir is sounding absolutely beautiful. Their voices are a joyful offering, echoing Psalm 100:2 — “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.” A special congratulations to our Burnie campus choirs, who won every segment in the recent Burnie Eisteddfod. What an extraordinary achievement! Your dedication and excellence have made us all proud.
Excitement is also building for our upcoming French trip next term. This is a wonderful opportunity for cultural enrichment and global learning, and I encourage all involved to embrace the adventure ahead with open hearts and minds.
Looking ahead, I want to encourage everyone to support our Secondary Musical: School of Rock. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting rehearsals and encouraging our students and it promises to be a fun, energetic and uplifting show. Please come along and enjoy the performance! A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Polden and the entire team for leading our students in this incredible opportunity. Your leadership and passion are deeply appreciated.
As we enter the holiday break, may we carry with us the joy of shared accomplishments and the peace that comes from walking in faith. I leave you with Numbers 6:24–26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”
Wishing you all a restful and refreshing holiday.
