Year 5 and 6

Term 4 is filled with a lot of special extra events for Grade 5 and 6 so keep an eye on the newsletter and any emails to keep up to date.

Grade 6 Graduation Photos

We will be having a photo taken at school on Monday of all Grade 6 students together. Please ensure students are on time in the morning and wearing a clean school uniform. They may even like to brush their hair for the occasion!

Production

Our production is now less than two weeks away! The students are working hard at polishing their lines, songs and moves. Please ensure your child has all their costume requirements organised. The dress rehearsal will be held at school on Monday October 30 and a technical rehearsal at Crossway on Tuesday October 31. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Early Arrivals

We have recently had a number of Grade 5 and 6 students arriving to school very early in the morning. For their safety, children should not be at school before 8:30.

Grade 6 IMAX excursion

The Grade 6s are looking forward to our excursion to IMAX on Monday November 13. Students will be watching 'Extreme Weather' & 'Volcanoes 3D', which links closely to our Inquiry topic of Natural Disasters. All the details are on Qkr! so please ensure we have payment and permission for your child to attend.

Grade 5 Shirt Orders

Grade 5 students who are wishing to buy a special Grade 6 shirt for 2024, must place orders by Friday the 3rd of November. Please note that the jumpers (with all the students' names) will be organised next year. Please refer to the email sent yesterday from your child's teacher.

Grade 5 Captain Speeches

A reminder to Grade 5 students who have submitted a captaincy application for 2024, that speeches will begin on Wednesday November 8.

Grade 6 Bike Ed

In the coming weeks, information will be given in regards to the Grade 6 Bike Education Program. Now would be a good time to ensure student's bikes are checked and everything is in working order to help it run smoothly, as students will be unable to use unsafe bikes.

Interrelate Family Life Information Night

An important part of our Health program is the 'Moving into the teen years' program run by Interrelate. To gain more information about this program, there will be an online Parent Information Night on Thursday November 9 at 7pm. It is an opportunity for you to hear what the program is about and ask questions of the presenters. If you'd like to attend, please register with the following link.
