Lunchboxes

Just a reminder to parents to make sure students are provided with cutlery in their lunchbox. It has also been noticed by the Level 2 Team that some students are missing snack in their lunch, particularly on Fridays when Subway is ordered. If a snack could be provided it would be much appreciated, as many children get very hungry by recess time.

At Vermont Primary, we promote healthy eating and the reduction of plastic waste in our lunchboxes. Please ensure your child is provided with snacks and lunches that are going to give them energy and focus throughout the day (e.g. fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, crackers, etc).

Hats

All students are required to wear hats at playtime this term. Please ensure your child has a hat that is clearly named. Students without hats will be required to stay in the shade of the Shelter Shed at playtimes as we are a SunSmart school.

Year 1 Inquiry

As part of the Year 1 Water Inquiry, students will be creating a diorama. Can all Year 1 students please bring a shoe box to school by Wednesday 25th of October.

Year 2 Incursion

On Tuesday 14th November, the Year 2 students will be participating in an incursion facilitated by Wild Action The Zoo Comes To You, as part of the Term 4 Minibeasts Inquiry.

Please ensure that both the payment and permission is received by the school via Qkr no later than Tuesday 7th November 2023. Should you have any further queries, please speak to your child’s teacher.

RRRR-Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships

Grades 1 and 2 will be starting their RRRR lessons in Week 4. These lessons are to teach the students about being respectful and inclusive of others and how to make school a safe environment for everyone.

Grade 1 - Edithvale Wetlands Excursion

On Tuesday the 21st of November all Grade 1 students will be visiting the Edithvale Wetlands for our Inquiry unit on Water.

Payment is now open on QKR. Please ensure you pay by Tuesday the 14th of November so that your child doesn't miss out. No late payments will be accepted as numbers need to be confirmed with the Edithvale Wetlands and the bus company.
