Denise's Message
Dear Families,
Thank you all for your wonderful welcome back to school, it was very touching to hear so many people say, 'Welcome back, we missed you'. I had a memorable time travelling through Israel and the Holy Land with fellow Principals.
We spent two weeks walking in the footsteps of Jesus, a very moving and spiritual time. We started our journey in Jordan where we discovered the Dead Sea and then spent time visiting many of the significant places that Jesus visited throughout his ministry, one of my favourites being at the Sea of Galilee where we visited the Experience Magdala Centre, a crossroads of Jewish and Christian History and hometown of Mary Magdalene. Located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and is a place where Jesus taught and preached.
We were blessed to be able to visit and spend time in the Holy Land but we were very blessed to leave before the tragic Terrorist Attack on Israel and the escalation of warfare that is still continuing. It is an extremely tragic and sad situation and our prayers go to all the innocent people - Israelis, Palestinians and Foreign Nationals. We pray that the war ends soon and all these people remain safe.
Teacher Appreciation Day
Today is Teacher Appreciation Day! This day is a great opportunity for everyone to recognise and show their appreciation for our teachers for their commitment to each child in their care. They play such an important role in not only educating your children academically but also supporting and nurturing their spiritual growth and well-being. I know that each teacher would appreciate receiving a message of support from families so I ask you to take the time to message them via class dojo or take the time to drop in and see them personally.
We are so blessed to have such dedicated and professional staff here at St Michael's so let's celebrate them! Let us celebrate the brilliant teachers we have who give so much more than is expected.
Sports Day
We had an amazing day on Tuesday at the annual St Michael's School Sports Day. Our PE Teacher, Sarah, organised many great activities for the children to participate in and had the children very well prepared for all events. All had fun and joined in the team spirit. Thanks to all our staff who led each activity and to the families that joined us to support their children.
Congratulations to the PATRICK team on winning the Sports Day and to the LEWIS team for winning the St Michael's Spirit Award.
Please enjoy Patrick Leaders, Harvey and Reiku's review of the day.

Year 3/4E Poetry
Please enjoy a poem written by YR 3/4E about the start of Term 4, a fabulous example of the great writing being done by our children.
