Geelong Concert Band, a community music organisation that provides opportunities for beginning, emerging, and established musicians of all ages to perform in a fun and supportive environment.

Every two years, Geelong Concert Band welcomes school children from around the region to form a new Workshop Band. The Workshop Band program offers children with an interest in music the chance to learn a musical instrument with no experience needed. Workshop Band sessions run for 90 minutes, comprising a 45 minute instrumental group lesson followed by a 45 minute full band rehearsal. Our sessions are led by experienced musicians and teachers with a passion for providing quality musical education and nurturing each child’s talents. All of our volunteers and adult members are required to hold a Working With Children Check as part of our strong commitment to child safety.

We warmly invite interested families to attend an information evening/open rehearsal on Friday November 10th from 5:00−6:00 pm in the band room at Christian College Middle School, Highton.
