From the Principal
We are over the halfway mark of Term 4 with only 5 weeks left until the end of the school year. As Ferris Bueller once famously said...
The remaining few weeks are not slowing down; the teachers are in full report writing mode, staffing and grade structures are almost finalised for 2024 and these will be communicated in the next few weeks, excursions and incursions are happening weekly, Grade 5’s are preparing leadership speeches for 2024 and our Grade 6 students are moving towards graduating primary school.
Japanese Day
Friday is our Japanese day. This day highlights and celebrates our Japanese Program. On the day the children can come dressed up in something that relates to Japanese culture. Each year level will complete various activities and also participate in a Japanese drumming incursion.
Thank you to Mami Sensei and Michelle Sensei for organising the day.
Grade 3 Camp
The Grade 3 children ventured off to Phillip Island on Monday for their first camp. They participated in a range of activities including the giant swing, low ropes course, archery and Amaze N Things. Thank you to the staff and parents who attended the camp.
Bike Ed – Grade 4
The Grade 4 students have their first Bike Ed session tomorrow. Bike Ed is a program designed to help build bike riding and road safety skills in school students. The children will participate in one session each week for the next 4 weeks rotating through various activities.
This program could not run without parent volunteers, so thank you to the parents who have volunteered to assist Mr A.
Illness - COVID
Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in reported COVID cases over the last few weeks.
If you have any of these symptoms, however mild, you are strongly recommended to seek advice and get tested. COVID-19 symptoms include: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss or change in sense of smell and taste.
Students and staff who test positive are recommended to isolate for a minimum of 5 days and not attend school until their symptoms have resolved. Students who isolate as a result of a positive COVID-19 test will have access to learning materials to support their continued learning.
Thank you for your support in keeping everyone healthy.
