Year 7

Assistant Principal's Report

How quickly the year has gone. All year 7’s have now completed their first year of secondary school at Wyndham Central College. I still remember this time 12 months ago when the students came in for the orientation day as grade 6’s on their next exciting adventure.

Well done to all year 7’s this year. It has been a year of many firsts, becoming part of the Wyndham College community, going from having one teacher to 8-10 teachers, finding like minded peers, making friends, having new experiences, and just navigating the school from day to day. There were multiple opportunities for students to participate in the college, be that academically, socially and in programs such as break time clubs, after school clubs, whole school sports events, multicultural week, and other whole school celebrations. It was also great for our year 7’s to participate in the year 12 final assembly so that they could see that hard work, dedication and resilience pays off.

I would like to wish all year 7’s but also all members of the College community a safe and happy Christmas and New Year break and the year 7 2024 team can’t wait to begin working with our new year 7’s in 2024.
