Year 8 Boys Volleyball

The Year 8 boys took part in the northern region volleyball competition after winning the Wyndham division tournament earlier in the year.

The first game saw a comprehensive victory over Northern Bay with the boys dominating with their serves.

Next up was Creekside which proved a much tougher game. After winning the first set, we narrowly lost the second and the boys had to be at their best to get ahead and claim the third and decisive set.

That set up a game against Maribyrnong, who had also won their first two games, for a chance to be in the state finals. Unfortunately for us the game came straight after our tough game against Creekside whilst Maribyrnong came off a rest. Maribyrnong were able to get into an early lead and although there was some excellent volleyball after that and some closely fought points, we were never able to claw back that early deficit meaning Maribyrnong went through to the state finals.

It was a superb effort by the boys who not only played extremely well but represented the school with pride.

Well done to Eh Soe Soe, Htwa Reh, Eh Thaw Soe Htoo, Ku Reh, Andy Paul, Beh Reh Poe and Sunny Sao.
