FAQs! Why do we have feast days?

When families and friends celebrate birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries they are making a statement about a person or value which is collectively important to them. The Catholic Church, too, is full of celebrations - saints' feast days and holy days - that affirm certain people and truths that are important to us as a faith family. Such occasions help unite and keep alive important events and relationships which have shaped our very existence as a church.
