Nationwide Aus Alert Test - 12 noon, Monday 27 July
AusAlert is a new national warning system that will send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices. A national test alert will be sent on Monday 27 July at 12 pm AWST.
AusAlert is a fast and reliable way to help keep Australians informed so they can act quickly during local and national disasters. These could be natural hazards like bushfires, floods and cyclones, as well as security threats or public health emergencies.
What to expect:
A loud siren-like sound and vibration lasting around 10 seconds
No action is required - this is only a test
If you have a hidden or safety phone and are concerned the alert may put you at risk, turn your device off or switch to Airplane Mode at least 1 hour before the test and leave it off for at least 1 hour afterwards.

Library News
Our school is committed to providing students with unique learning opportunities, which is why all students have access to our ePlatform, a digital library that offers a selection of eBooks and Audiobooks.
The benefits of ePlatform Digital Libraries: With ePlatform, your student has 24/7 access to eBooks and Audiobooks for free. This is a wonderful extension of our physical school library and allows titles to be checked out at home, over the weekend or during the holidays. The book will then automatically return at the end of the loan period.
Students of all ages can benefit from ePlatform's reading and comprehension tools. A service like this can benefit struggling or reluctant readers, second-language learners, as well as gifted readers alike.
- Unique reader customisation with Settings Wizard, across all devices
- Help busy kids find time to read
- Professionally curated collection with age restrictions set by library staff
- Increase vocabulary and improve pronunciation and comprehension
- User friendly for all types of readers & listeners.
How does it work? Ensure your reader has the ePlatform app, which can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store, Google Play Store or visit eplatform.co to begin (called ‘ePlatform Digital Libraries). Students can then login WITH THEIR CONNECT USERNAME (first.surname) and Applecross1 as the password. Please get in touch with our I.T department should your reader have any trouble logging in.
