Voice of Vocational Major!

The VCE Vocational Major Year 11 students have been busy! We have targeted Bike Safety in the local community as a major issue that we are determined to fix. On Thursday March 21st, we will be running our inaugural Ride2School Day. We are running this event because according to our research, only 14% of our students ride to school. When we all live so close to the school, that number is very low.

We are hoping to see over 50% of our students either riding, scooting, or walking to school on Thursday March 21st. We will be giving out spot prizes and other goodies for those who ride, scoot, or walk on the day! There is more information to come.

We have also started the Cans for Cause campaign. You may have seen some new bins around the school.

We ask you to place any bottles, cans or cartons into our bins.

The money we raise for the month of February is going towards the Smith Family so please remember to use our bottle bins for all your cans, bottles and cartons. Not only can we clean up the school, but we can also help young people in need.

The Year 12 VCE VM have started their moving out of home project which will show them the ever-increasing pressures moving out of home can cause on young people. This eye-opening project is a great life skill for the students to have learnt at a young age and will hold them in good shape in the coming years.

All VCE Vocational Major students have gone through the ‘how to sew a button’ course and have come through with flying colours. Mums, dads and grandparents of our VM students, you are no longer required to help if your child loses a button. They’ve got this!
