Y12 English Extension Program 

Starting in Week 5 of this term, we will be running extension workshops after school on Mondays (3:30-4:30) to support our Year 12 English Studies. These workshops will offer extension activities and resources to elevate students who are seeking to challenge themselves and take their English Study to the next level. In the extension workshops, we’ll be covering a range of topics to support SAC and exam preparation, and we will respond to student feedback as we go to really make this a program that is useful and tailored to the cohort. Initially, we will be focused on Mainstream English but as we move through the year we will also target specific elements of the English Language and Literature courses.

These workshops are open to all students but, we have sent specific invitations to students who did particularly well in English as Year 11 students.

The workshop topic each week will be advertised on Teams so students know what to expect and students will be asked to RSVP each week by ‘liking’ the post on Teams. Our first session will cover the upcoming Analytical SAC on Jackson’s ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle.’

Additionally, there is study help available every day at lunchtime in R15A. On Wednesdays and Fridays it will have a strong English vibe with senior English teachers in attendance. Students in all year levels are encouraged to avail themselves of this resource.
