Year 7 to Year 9

Middle School Update

With great enthusiasm, we welcomed the Years 7 to Year 9 students on Wednesday, marking the commencement of their exciting 2024 academic journey. Amidst the 95 new Year 7 students, there was a genuine mix of excitement and nervous energy that quickly transformed into a collective sense of accomplishment as they settled into their lockers, familiarised themselves with their PCG Learning Spaces and adeptly navigated our bustling secondary building. Similar sentiments were shared by our nine new Years 8 and. 9 students who seamlessly integrated into our close-knit community on day one.

Our Year Coordinators and PCG teachers, entrusted with the pivotal role of pastoral care, exhibited admirable qualities, showcasing their caring and nurturing personalities. We are truly blessed with our exceptional staff appointments this year. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to meet our dedicated team during the upcoming Parent Information Nights scheduled for the Year 7s on Thursday, 8th February, and the Year 8s and Year 9s on Thursday, 15th February. Further details about these informative sessions will be provided soon.

As we gear up for our first Secondary Assembly this Friday, we will be presenting valuable information to our 300 students. The assembly will encompass details about the coveted end of year Awards that students can aspire to achieve, along with various leadership opportunities that they can apply for, providing a platform to challenge themselves and extend support to their fellow students. We look forward to continuing to foster a sense of community and empowerment within our student body.
