In our welcome edition of Inspire last week, I shared our plan with you for additional communication with families in 2024. We have been listening to feedback from parents, caregivers and staff members about connections with families at the beginning of the year. This year, we will be holding two opportunities to connect in Term 1. This includes an after school meet and greet opportunity, and a parent information session with your child’s year level teachers. Please see the upcoming events page for dates.
We will also be offering two parent-teacher learning conversations in 2024: one in Term 1 and one in Term 3. These are wonderful opportunities for families to connect with teachers for check-ins and conversations about learning. As always, parents and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to be in regular contact with your child’s teacher. Our teachers always prefer a conversation with you face to face, or on the phone if face to face is not possible. An email is a good way for you to set a time to catch up.
Our OSHC building works have continued over summer and will develop rapidly over the coming weeks. We hope to have the space ready for us in Term 2, all going well! Our builders and their contractors will be ensuing that they do not park on the street during busy drop-off and pick-up times at school, however there are times through the early morning and evening, as well as the middle of the day, that the road will be busier than usual. Please use caution, particularly considering speed when driving, and being sure to use the crossing to cross Audrey Avenue. Safety is our priority.
