Year 4 Literacy

Year 4 Literacy

During the first three weeks of this term the Year 4 students have been involved in creating their reading and writing communities.

Throughout these lessons, students learn about a range of areas including:

  • The roles of the teacher and students during literacy lessons
  • The purposes for reading and writing
  • How to choose a good fit book
  • The BEPS reading and writing models
  • Setting up their book boxes and classroom libraries
  • Knowing their strengths and interests as readers and writers
  • Creating personalised front covers for their readers and writers notebooks

Have a look at the students’ amazing work so far and some of the anchor charts we have created with the students.

Happy reading and writing!
