Your Parent Representatives

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful Wine and Cheese Night at the Olsons, where we had the opportunity to connect with the majority of our amazing Parent Representatives. It was great for everyone to meet each other as we discussed plans for upcoming events. We cannot wait to collaborate with them as they organise activities for each of their respective year levels. Our shared objective is clear - to foster our social community while also raising funds through some events, but most importantly, to have fun!

Here are your dedicated Parent Representatives:

Foundation: Alex Saffigna, Giselle Saffigna and Bill Elliott

Grade 1: Erin McGeoch and Fiona O’Kane

Grade 2: Amelia Brooks and Britt Hall

Grade 3: Laura Smith, Kelly Shacklock and Dave Patterson

Grade 4: Chantel Graham, Sharon Cann and Andrew Montesanti

Grade 5: Amy Pincott, Fiona Daly and Andrew Montesanti

Grade 6: Jess Veneziano and Mel Kavanagh

We are so grateful to this group of legends for generously dedicating their time and effort. They not only organise events for their respective year levels but also provide invaluable assistance to us with major events throughout the year.

There is still an opportunity to become a Parent Representative! If you are interested in joining our team, please reach out to us at sbsocialsquad@gmail.com We would be thrilled to have you on board!

Social at the School – Welcome Picnic

There is no denying that last Sunday the sun was shining (very) brightly as families gathered for the inaugural  event of the year, ‘Social at the School’ – Welcome Picnic. Despite the sweltering heat, we were really happy with the turnout, especially from families with children in the younger year levels. The hall offered a welcome respite where families played games, had their face painted or as many did, cover themselves with temporary tattoos! Everyone enjoyed the sausages and ice-cream and there was plenty of chatting and laughter. We were delighted that Wendy and Suzie could also join us for the festivities.

Events like this require a dedicated team and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Wendy and Tracey for their assistance in acquiring the bread from Baker’s Delight Mordialloc and the sausages from our very own Canteen Manager, Lisa. A special thanks to our BBQ boys, Aodhan Olson, Liam Pincott, Andrew Montesanti (and our mini helpers Isaac, Dash and Tom on the grill and kitchen duties).  We also thank some of our amazing Parent Reps for their invaluable assistance on the day with running the kitchen, tattoo station, face painting (Fiona Daly, you’re a star!), setup, packdown and more!  We hope everyone had a fantastic time and had the chance to enhance connections or make new ones! For many, these events provide the opportunity to mingle with others from your child’s class who you may never have had the chance to connect with. We look forward to our next event at St Brigid's, where we'll continue to create opportunities for connection and camaraderie throughout the year.
