Top Designs 2024

Congratulations to Kieran Ford, who has been selected to exhibit their VCE VET Creative and Digital Media work in Top Designs 2024 at Melbourne Museum.

Top Designs is an annual exhibition coordinated by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) in partnership with Museums Victoria, showcasing outstanding design works made by VCE and VCE VET students from schools across the state.

This year, only 92 works were selected for the exhibition from over 1,000 applications. Selected works exemplify the innovation, skill and creativity that can be achieved within the Victorian Curriculum.

Kieran is to be commended for being chosen as one of these few exhibitors and the work is testament to Kieran’s dedication to creative design.

Top Designs will run from Saturday 23 March until Sunday 14 July at the Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson St, Carlton.

Please visit Top Designs to see Kieran’s creation.

Food Technology

We have had an exciting start to the year in the Food Technology Department. Yr 8s have had their first experience of cooking and have enjoyed making Hawaiian Muffins and Fruit Smoothies and Scones. They have been learning all of the health and safety rules to follow in the kitchen and have learnt the correct measuring techniques to use when cooking.

Yr 9s made Fabulous French Toast and the Yr 10 class enjoyed making Honey Soy Rice Paper Rolls.

The VCE classes have made Mini Chicken and Corn Patties with a Bok Choy Salad - Yr 11 and Okonomiyaki with homemade mayonnaise - Yr 12.

All classes have had a particular focus on health and safety for the start of the year. We have also ensured that we have made healthy and delicious foods that complement the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating.
