From our Parents' Association

Calling all new and existing parents/special persons!

SKIPPA is the St Kilda Park Parents/special persons Association.

The purpose of SKIPPA is to encourage engagement in the school community, we do this by having regular catch ups and organising events to get to know each other and most importantly have FUN! As well as welcoming new families to the school, the types of events we host are end of term events (Hot Chocolate and Biscuit day, Footy BBQ and Mother’s/Father’s/special persons day. We also get involved in Jazz in the Park, the Walkathon and Celebration of the Arts (COTA). The kids love and value these events so much (as well as the cake stall)!

There are a number of different reasons to get involved in SKIPPA;

  • Helping with a SKIPPA event is social and a great way to get to know families across different year levels;
  • It’s a great way to give back or create local community connections for our children now and long after primary school has finished; or
  • It could be to make sure something your child loves, like sushi or the Foundation and Grade 6 class tea towels continues.

SKIPPA meets monthly, we alternate between before school and evening meetings to try and accommodate all.

If you would like to get involved or would like to know more about SKIPPA, we would like to warmly invite you to our first meeting for the year taking place this Tuesday;

  • Date - 13 February 2024
  • Location – St Kilda Bowling Club
  • Time -  6pm

If you would like to know anything else about SKIPPA or if you would like to drive a new event, or build on an existing event please let us know. stkildaparkparents@gmail.com

Although we would love to have you help with SKIPPA events, there are plenty of other tasks on the Fundraising sub-committee or the Building and Grounds sub-committee that might suit you too. There is also the opportunity to be a class rep or to join school council.
