We are learning to write limerick poems.

VOCABULARY

Limerick: A short poem made of five lines in which the first, second- and fifth-line rhyme with each other. The third and fourth lines rhyme with each other.

Sit with your student and see if you can come up with a list of rhyming words for their name.

Try to write a limerick that contains your student’s name ensuring that the first, second and fifth line rhyme.
